The emergency center parking lot on Phoebe's main campus in Albany is closed to accommodate construction work. The public parking area is now located on the first level of the adjacent parking deck. Signs are posted in the area, directing patients and visitors to the proper parking locations.

Information & Updates for Phoebe Main Emergency Center Parking

With COVID cases rising rapidly again, we are installing a new ER entrance and waiting area in the parking lot which will help us more efficiently and effectively triage and register the additional patients expected in our busy ER. It will also provide us more room to ensure social distancing for our emergency patients and the caregivers who accompany them.

Information To Know

  • The Emergency Center parking lot on Phoebe’s main campus is currently closed due to construction.
  • Patients and visitors will still use W. 4th Ave. to access the ER.
  • The public parking area is now located on the first level of the adjacent parking deck. All patients and visitors are encouraged to park here on the first floor of the Employee & Physician Parking Deck.
  • Additional handicap spaces will be added on each level of the parking deck. They will be placed next to the elevator on each level.
  • A temporary Emergency Center entrance is open for use while work is taking place at EC entrance.
  • A second entrance to the parking deck is open specifically for physicians and employees, to improve traffic flow.
  • Signs are posted in the area, directing patients and visitors to the parking deck and the temporary Emergency Center entrance.

Expansion Projects Underway

Two major construction projects are underway at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. These projects will transform the delivery of emergency services in southwest Georgia by creating the largest and most advanced emergency and trauma center in the region. It will also expand our NICU space and allow us to remain on the cutting-edge of care for our tiniest patients, and it will provide us with additional intensive care rooms and more efficient and modern space for our critical care teams.  >> Learn more
