Visiting Phoebe

Hospital Visitation Policy

Phoebe continues to monitor the number of COVID-19 cases in our community and modify our policies and procedures as appropriate.

Based on an increase in COVID-19 activity throughout Georgia and revised guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, we have re-instituted mandatory temperature checks and screening questions for patients and visitors entering all Phoebe facilities. We continue to require everyone to wear masks in our hospitals, clinics and offices, and we encourage everyone to mask up anytime they are in public.

  • Visiting Hours: 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Visitation Guidelines for Non-COVID-19 Patients:

  • All visitors are required to wear a mask at all times. If you don’t have one, one will be provided.
  • All visitors will be screened prior to entering the facility.
  • One visitor allowed at a time for each Non-COVID-19 patient.
  • If needed, one caregiver is allowed to stay overnight.
  • If visiting a patient who has been admitted to the hospital, please enter/exit through the main entrance.
  • If visiting/accompanying a patient for outpatient surgery or an appointment in one of the Medical Towers, please enter/exit through the Medical Tower entrance.
  • All visitors will be asked to sign in and out.
  • Visitors may access cafeteria and concession areas, but otherwise should remain in the clinical unit they are visiting.

Below exceptions may apply:

  • Patients at the end of life.
  • Obstetric patients may have one partner and a birth supporter during delivery and one partner and two visitors after delivery during visiting hours.
  • NICU patients may have one birth parent plus a significant other.
  • Minors under age 18 may have two parents or guardians.

Please note: Children under the age of 18 are not allowed to visit except in end-of-life cases and births of siblings. It is also strongly recommended (for their own safety) that people over age 65, anyone with a chronic medical condition and pregnant women do not visit the hospital except to receive care.

Emergency Room Visitation:

For the safety of our patients, staff and community, visitation restrictions will continue for ER patients. Visitors are only allowed to accompany minors and patients who require assistance from a caregiver. Facility modifications are underway in the ER to provide more space, which will allow us to resume limited visitation in approximately 60 days.

Printable Visitation Policy:

We appreciate your support and patience as we work to protect our patients, visitors and community. Please know all decisions are made with safety as our top priority and modifications will be made to the visitation policy as appropriate.
