Visitation Policy

As we continue to monitor the number of COVID-19 cases in our community, we also continue to adapt our policies and procedures as appropriate.

Visiting Hours: Weekdays 7 A.M. - 7 P.M.

Inpatient Visitation Guidelines for Non-COVID-19 Patients:

  • Two visitors are allowed at a time in a patient’s room.
  • Due to traffic, we ask visitors to not leave and return to the facility multiple times throughout the day.
  • One visitor may stay overnight in a patient’s room.
  • If visiting a patient who has been admitted to the hospital, please enter/exit through the main entrance.
  • If visiting/accompanying a patient for outpatient surgery or an appointment in one of the Medical Towers, please enter/exit through the Medical Tower entrance.
  • Visitors sign in and out at the main entrance.
  • All visitors will be screened for a fever prior to entering the facility.
  • All visitors are required to wear a multi-layer mask when in the facility. If you do not have one, one will be provided.
  • Visitors may access cafeteria and concession areas, but otherwise should remain in the patient’s room they are visiting.

Visitation Guidelines for COVID-19 Inpatients:

  • Each patient will be evaluated by a physician to determine eligibility for visitation. If patient is eligible, the patient’s nurse will contact family to make arrangements.
  • Visits must be scheduled with the nurse.
  • One designated family member may schedule two visits per week, 30 minutes each. This visit may be in-person or virtual depending on physician evaluation.
  • All visitors must wear the appropriate personal protective equipment, which will be provided at visit.

Outpatient Visitation Guidelines:

Patients undergoing a surgery may have two visitors accompany them during their stay. Patients coming for an outpatient test or scan may have one visitor accompany them, if medically necessary..

Emergency Room Visitation:

ER visitation will allow for one visitor per Non-COVID-19 patient. To ensure social distancing of 6 feet, visitors may be asked to wait outside the lobby during peak hours, unless a medically necessary caregiver is needed by the patient. In this circumstance, visitors will be notified by Phoebe when the patient is moved to a private room where a visitor is allowed.

Below exceptions may apply:

  • Patients at the end-of-life.
  • Labor & Delivery and Mother-Baby may have one birth supporter and two visitors at a time. Extenuating circumstances will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
  • Siblings may visit in Labor & Delivery or Mother-Baby.
  • NICU patients may have one birth parent plus four approved adult visitors. Siblings under 18 are not allowed to visit in NICU.
  • Minors under age 18 may have two parents or guardians.
  • Patients who require assistance may have one caregiver.

Children under 18 still are not allowed to visit except in end-of-life cases and births of siblings.

We appreciate your support and patience as we work to protect our patients, visitors and community. Please know all decisions are made with safety as our top priority and modifications will be made to the visitation policy as appropriate.
