Visiting Phoebe North

Visitation Policy

As we continue to monitor the number of COVID-19 cases in our community, we also continue to adapt our policies and procedures as appropriate. As we optimistically – but cautiously – welcome the dramatic decline in new COVID-19 patients in recent weeks, we are changing our visitation.

Visiting Hours for Non-COVID-19 patients: 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Visitiation for COVID-19 patients must be scheduled.

Visitation Guidelines for All Patients:

  • Two visitors allowed at a time for each patient.
  • All visitors are required to wear a multi-layer mask when in the facility. If you do not have one, one will be provided.
  • All visitors will be screened for a fever prior to entering the facility.
  • All visitors enter and exit through the main hospital entrance.
  • Visitors sign in and out at the main entrance.
  • Visitors may access cafeteria and concession areas, but otherwise should remain in the clinical unit they are visiting

Visitation Guidelines for Non-COVID-19 patients:

  • One visitor may stay overnight in a patient’s room.

Below exceptions may apply:

  • Patients at the end-of-life.
  • Minors under age 18 may have two parents or guardians.

Please note: Children under 18 still are not allowed to visit except in end-of-life cases and births of siblings. It is also strongly recommended (for their own safety) that people over age 65, anyone with a chronic medical condition and pregnant women do not visit the hospital except to receive care.

Visitation Guidelines for COVID-19 Patients:

  • Patients that are being cared for in the modular units will not be eligible for visitation.
  • Each patient will be evaluated by a physician to determine eligibility for visitation. If patient is eligible, the patient’s nurse will contact family to make arrangements.
  • Visits must be scheduled with the nurse.
  • One designated family member may schedule two visits per week, 30 minutes each.
  • All visitors must wear the appropriate personal protective equipment, which will be provided at visit

Outpatient Visitation Guidelines:

Patients undergoing a surgery may have one visitor accompany them during their stay. Patients coming for an outpatient test or scan may have one visitor accompany them, if medically necessary.

We appreciate your support and patience as we work to protect our patients, visitors and community. Please know all decisions are made with safety as our top priority and modifications will be made to the visitation policy as appropriate.
