About Maria Fondal, MD
Dr. Fondal earned her medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. She completed her residency at St. Louis School of Medicine.
Dr. Fondal completed her Rheumatology Fellowship at the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO, where she gained expertise in diagnosing and treating adult patients with conditions such as:
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Systemic lupus erythematosus
- Scleroderma
- Sjogrens syndrome
- Inflammatory myositis
- Gout
- Vasculitides (behcets and ANCA vasculitis)
- Spondyloarthropathies, such as ankylosing spondylitis and psoriatic arthritis
- Osteoporosis & other rheumatic diseases
Dr. Fondal is board-certified in internal medicine and rheumatology. She’s very active in the American College of Rheumatology, Board Member of the Lupus Foundation, Georgia Chapter, and served as Principal Investigator for multiple Clinical Trials for Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Scleroderma, and Spondylarthritis.
