Dr. Gunturu brings advanced gastroenterology specialty skills to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the digestive tract and liver. In addition to colonoscopies and upper endoscopies, Dr. Gunturu provides advanced procedures such as endoscopic retrograde cholangic-pancreatogram (ERCP), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), and radio frequency ablation (RFA), enteral stent placements and capsule endoscopy.

After earning his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the Osmania Medical College, NTR UHS, Andhra Pradesh, India, he completed his Internal medicine residency at Montefiore Medical Center, Wakefield Division, New York. In addition, he completed fellowship training in Gastroenterology at Montefiore Medical Center Wakefield Division, New York.  He is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
