What if I lost my vaccination card?

If you have lost your vaccination card or don’t have a copy, contact your vaccination provider site where you received your vaccine to access your vaccination record.

What if I was partially or fully vaccinated outside of the US?

  • If you received a FDA-authorized COVID-19 vaccine and have received all the recommended doses, you do not need any additional doses.
  • If you received a FDA-authorized COVID-19 vaccine and have not received all the recommended doses, you do not need to restart the vaccine series. However, you should receive the second dose as closet to the recommended time as possible.
  • If you received a full dose of a vaccine approved for emergency use by the World Health Organization (WHO) that is not FDA-authorized, you do not need any additional doses.
  • If you received a WHO emergency use approved vaccine and have not received all the recommended doses, wait at least 28 days after the last dose before receiving a dose of an FDA-authorized COVID-19 vaccine.
  • If you received a vaccine that is not listed for emergency use by WHO and not FDA-authorizes, you will need to receive a complete FDA-authorized vaccine series. Wait at least 28 days after the last dose of the non-authorized vaccine before receiving the FDA-authorized vaccine.

Is it safe to go to physician offices?

Yes. Using the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines as a baseline, Phoebe has developed a protocol for mitigating the spread of COVID-19 in our physician practices. In fact, we are going above and beyond the sanitation guidelines set forth by the CDC.

Can someone come with me for my procedure or appointment?

If you have a medical condition that requires assistance, you will be allowed to bring one person with you for same-day procedures or appointments. We will take their temperature to be sure he or she does not have a fever, and will provide a mask if they do not already have one.

How is Phoebe ensuring its hospital facilities are safe?

Using the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines as a baseline, Phoebe has developed a protocol for mitigating the spread of COVID-19 in our facilities.  In fact, we are going above and beyond the sanitation guidelines set forth by the CDC.

  • Our EVS crews are using bleach and foggers to disinfect units where COVID-19 patients have been treated.
  • We continuously clean high touch surfaces with CDC approved cleaning methods, solutions and wipes between each and every patient visit.
  • We have adopted the CDC social distancing requirements, spacing all seating a minimum of 6 feet apart. 
  • All visitors and staff wear a mask. If you do not have one, we will provide one upon arrival.
  • Hand sanitizer solutions are available in our lobbies and patient rooms.

What precautions are taken in the emergency center to keep me safe?

Enhanced cleaning procedures have been put in place.

How are Phoebe’s physician practices accommodating patients?

There are two ways you can see your physician:

  • Virtual Visits: Telehealth is a wonderful option for many patients, allowing them to be assessed from the comfort of their home. To schedule a virtual visit, call your practice office or 229-312-MYMD.  However, there are certain conditions that are better assessed and treated in person.
  • Office Visits: Choice of waiting in the lobby or in your car for office visits. A dedicated check-in phone line which patients can call when they arrive. They can check in using a smart phone and will receive a call or text when the provider is ready to see them.  Patients will be asked to arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before scheduled appointments. They will be given the option to wait in their car.  Patients will be encouraged to come alone; however, if they require assistance, they will be allowed to bring one person with them.

If it is safe to come to the office, why is Telehealth still being offered?

Telehealth is a wonderful option for many patients, allowing them to be assessed from the comfort of their home. However, there are certain conditions that are better assessed and treated in person.

Do I have to wait in the lobby for my appointment?

You have the choice of waiting in our lobby or waiting in your car. If you choose not to wait in our lobby, we will have a dedicated check-in phone line at each practice. When you arrive, you can call the dedicated phone number to alert our office of your arrival. You will then be allowed to check-in through your smart phone. We will call/text you when the provider is ready to see you and you will be taken directly back to the exam room. If you choose to wait in the lobby, we ask that you arrive no more than ten minutes before your appointment time.
