Phoebe Sumter Welcomed First Baby of the New Year
Albany, Ga. – Phoebe Sumter Medical Center is happy to introduce the first newborn of the New Year. Na’Riaha Janae’ Williams was born at 4:03 p.m. on January 1, making her the first baby born in 2017 at the hospital. Na’Riaha weighed in at 6 pounds and 5 ounces and 20 inches long and her parents Travaris Williams Jr. and Lasandra Burton, are thrilled.
“I was not expecting to have the New Year’s baby,” said Burton. “My due date was not until January 23, so it was a very pleasant surprise.”
Staff at Phoebe Sumter presented little Na’Riaha and her parents with a gift basket and a plaque in celebration of being the first newborn of the New Year at the hospital.
