Support Groups

When experiencing a serious illness, patients often find comfort in a mutually respectful environment where they can share their experiences. Phoebe's support groups were created to meet the needs of these patients and their families.

Bereavement Support Group
Phoebe Hospice has support groups for individuals who have lost a loved one. These are offered primarily for our patient's families but are also open to the community. There is no charge for attending and the groups last for 8 weeks. Individuals must preregister by calling 229-312-7050 and talking to either Claire Stoeckle or Phyllis Colvin.

Breast Cancer Support Group
A group for women with breast cancer. The group meets on the second Thursday of each month from 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. in the Radiation Oncology Conference Room at Phoebe. Call 229-312-7161 for more information.

Caring Touch
Support for those caring for a loved one. The group meets the fourth Wednesday of each month from 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. in the Radiation Oncology Conference Room at Phoebe. Call 229-312-7161 for more information.

Facing Cancer with Love and Laughter
Group support for anyone affected by cancer. The group meets the first Monday of each month from 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. in the Radiation Oncology Conference Room at Phoebe. Call 229-312-7161 for more information.

Mended Hearts

Multiple Sclerosis Support Group
Meets 1st Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the Phoebe Northwest Conference Center, Conference Room A. For more information, contact Sandra Breedlove at 229-312-0300.

Resolve Support Group
Phoebe and Ob-Gyn Associates of Albany sponsor a monthly RESOLVE of Georgia support group meeting. RESOLVE is a nonprofit national infertility organization. This monthly, peer-led discussion group provides support and information to individuals experiencing infertility. Stroke Support Group
Meets 1st Wednesday of every other month from 11 a.m. to Noon. For more information, contact Phoebe Outpatient Occupational Therapy at 229-434-2580.
